On Friday, November 10 we honored men and women who have served in all branches of the United States military at our annual Veterans Day assembly. This special day began with a breakfast, followed by a prelude of music conducted by Crestview High School band director, Hannah Phillips. Pastor Peter Bors led the Pledge of Allegiance and provided an invocation. The Veterans Day assembly concluded with a musical selection performed by the choir, directed by Trevor Garrabrant and the reading of an original poem which was written by Joseph Cherveny.

The 6th annual Thanksgiving meal was held on Tuesday, November 21 for students, staff, and senior citizens. Staff and community were able to share a meal and fellowship together. At the same time, we were able to give back to our community. Enough food was donated and prepared so that we could bring delicious meals to a number of community and faith based organizations. These meals were personally delivered by staff and students from our school.

Lastly, Crestview High School is developing a biographical video series that we will send out to our social media platforms. The video series is called “Homegrown Heroes.” This project is a collaboration among administration, teaching staff, and community partners. We are gathering names of Crestview alumni that are making a difference in their communities while carrying on the tradition of excellence that can be traced back to the district.

If you would like to nominate a Homegrown Hero to be interviewed so that they can share their story, please contact principal, Andrew Ditlevson, at 419-895-1700, ext. 19002, or Email: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
