Crestview Local School District operates a preschool program in conjunction with Warren County ESC in order to meet the needs of children with identified disabilities while integrating typically developing children, in order to provide an enriched learning environment for all.
Those interested in enrolling their typically developing three-five year old child into the Crestview Local Schools Preschool Program may do so by completing the on-line forms by clicking on the Re-registration and New Enrollment at Crestview page.
All typically developing peers must be 3-5 years of age and potty-trained no later than August 1, 2019. All parents will be notified by mail regarding an appointment for the preschool screening process and the status of their application no later than August 1, 2019.
The deadline for submitting applications for the initial round of screening and evaluation is August 1, 2019. However, applications will be accepted throughout the school year to fill spaces as they become available.
Half-day program - Tuesday through Friday.
Class time: (2 sessions) 8am–10:45am or 12pm–2:45pm
Per Ohio law, transportation is provided for students identified with special needs. Regarding typically developing children, it is generally the responsibility of the family to provide transportation for the child to and from school. At this time, Crestview Local Schools are in the process of evaluating the potential of transporting all preschool children using our regular AM and PM bus routes with a midday route to return the children to their home or a designated stop. More information about this will be available during the summer when bus routes are evaluated.
Typically developing children must be 3-5 years of age no later than August 1, 2019. Typical children must be fully toilet trained before the first day of classes.
Tuition and Fees:
Tuition of $900 per school year (max) will be assessed in equal monthly installments for all typically developing children on a sliding scale based on gross monthly income. Tuition payments are expected by the 15th of each month regardless if the child does or does not attend school on a regular basis. Non-payment or continued delinquency of payments may result in the removal of your child from preschool services. A classroom fee of $60 will be assessed to all students to cover the cost of supplies, snacks, etc… This fee is payable immediately upon acceptance to the preschool program.
Applications will be accepted at the Crestview Local Schools Central Office beginning Monday, February 4, 2019. The medical/physical forms must include vision, hearing, and dental checkups. Do not leave items unaddressed on any of the forms as this will slow the process and may result in loss of placement within the preschool program.
Applications must be received by August 1, 2019. Applications received after the deadline date or when the program has reached full capacity will be placed on a waiting list upon the parent’s request.
Placement in the program will be made as soon as all documents are in your child’s file, including a developmental screening completed by our staff. All district enrollment information must be completed 1 week prior to the start date. No child shall begin school until the enrollment process is fully completed (including physical and dental examinations).
